Creating your first project

Upload assets and have the Kestroll agent create a deliverable.

A project is the basic unit of work in Kestroll. Create a new project for each related set of deliverables — one project might hold a single rough cut, or five social clips from one episode.

Each deliverable in a project is called a composition.

Upload your footage

Start by uploading assets to your Kestroll media library. Go to the Files page and press Upload.

Upload a single video you want to clip, or a related set of assets — for example, all the raw streams from one podcast episode. If you have brand assets such as logos, end cards, title cards, or transition screens, upload those too.

Create a project

Next, go to the Projects page and press New Project. Inside your new project, press Add Media, then Add from library, and select your footage.

Ask the agent

In the chat panel on the right, tell the agent what you want. A few examples:

Clip final_yt.mp4 at these timestamps in 9:16 format:
00:12-01:02
03:40-04:15
05:00-05:30
05:21-06:56
08:23-10:04
Make a rough cut of this podcast episode
Find the 5-10 most viral moments in this video and make social assets in 9:16 and 4:5

See the result

Once the agent begins, watch its progress on the editor page. When it finishes, you can:

  1. Keep workshopping it by replying to the agent, or start a new chat. Try selecting a clip in the editor and saying something like “make the first clip a bit shorter.”
  2. Edit it yourself in the editor.
  3. Export the finished clip.
  4. Export it as Premiere (.xml file) and continue in Adobe Premiere Pro.
